In Memory Of My Dad
If I could write a story
It would be the greatest ever told
Of a kind and loving father
Who had a heart of gold
If I could write a million pages
But still be unable to say, just how
Much I love and miss him
Every single day
I will remember all he taught me
I'm hurt but won't be sad
Because he'll send me down the answers
And he'll always be MY DAD

Memories
I feel a warmth around me
like your presence is so near,
And I close my eyes to visualize
your face when you were here,
I endure the times we spent together
and they are locked inside my heart,
For as long as I have those memories
we will never be apart,
Even though we cannot speak anymore
my voice is always there,
Because every night before I sleep
I have you in my prayer.

If I Could Send A Birthday Card to Heaven
If I could send a birthday card to Heaven,
it would have the most amazing butterflies.
And the words that say “I love you now and always”,
with hugs and kisses in between the lines.
If I could send a birthday card to Heaven,
I would write down all the thank you’s never said.
And tell you just how precious you have been to me,
and how I have admired the life you led.
If I could send a birthday card to Heaven,
I would say that I was blessed that you were mine.
And apologize for all the grief I gave to you,
how I wish that I could see you one more time.
If I could send a birthday card to Heaven,
I would write down that I miss you being here.
I would say I know you love your new forever,
and I’ll see you when forever brings me near.
If I could send a birthday card to Heaven,
I would say you are the best I could have had.
That I’m happy you are free of pain and sorrow,
and I'd seal it with, 'Love you forever Dad'.

STAND BY ME
When the night has come
And the land is dark
And the moon is the only light we see
No I won't be afraid
No I won't be afraid
Just as long as you stand, stand by me
And darling, darling stand by me
Oh, now, now, stand by me
Stand by me, stand by me
If the sky that we look upon
Should tumble and fall
And the mountain should crumble to the sea
I won't cry, I won't cry
No I won't shed a tear
Just as long as you stand, stand by me
And darling, darling stand by me
Oh, stand by me
Stand by me, stand by me, stand by me
Whenever you're in trouble won't you stand by me
Oh, now, now, stand by me
Oh, stand by me, stand by me, stand by me
Darling, darling stand by me
Stand by me
Oh stand by me, stand by me, stand by me
One More Day

Sitting sadly on my bed
Listening to the wild winds blow,
Crying bitterly behind my hair
Trying not to let it show.
Knowing that you won't be back
You left without good-bye's,
Never to mend my broken heart
Letting loose my cries.
Everyday I waited
And everyday I prayed,
Hoping God would leave you here
At least just one more day.

My Dad
I know this man
Who is dear to my heart
Suddenly one day
It was torn all apart
This man taught me everything
That I needed to know
But I never really listened
Until he had to go
He gave me love
And touched my life
It's all over now
He no longer has to fight
He tried to teach me
Right for wrong
The day he left
I wasn't that strong
He is gone now
It is hard to believe
This man is my dad
Who I will never see
But I will see him again
This I know
The day will come
When it's time for me to go
So, I'll hold him dear
And close to my heart
Cause the day we meet
I know we'll never be torn apart.

There is always a face before me,
A voice I would love to hear,
A smile I will always remember,
Of a Dad I loved so dear.
Deep in my heart lies a picture,
More precious than silver or gold,
It's a picture of my Dad
Whose memory will never grow old.
Tears In Heaven
Would you know my name
If I saw you in heaven?
Would you feel the same
If I saw you in heaven?
I must be strong and carry on
cause I know I dont belong here in heaven...
Would you hold my hand
If I saw you in heaven?
Would you help me stand
If I saw you in heaven?
Ill find my way through night and day
cause I know I just cant stay here in heaven...
Time can bring you down, time can bend your knees
Time can break your heart, have you begging please...begging please
Beyond the door theres peace Im sure
And I know therell be no more tears in heaven...
Would you know my name
If I saw you in heaven?
Would you feel the same
If I saw you in heaven?
I must be strong and carry on
cause I know I dont belong here in heaven.
